So you are looking to add solar panels to your roof. How do you go about this, what company do you choose? What do the finances before, during and long term look like? To be completely honest, I do not have solar panels. We moved into our current house a few years ago and right after we moved in we were inundated with sales calls to add panels to our roof. We were shown overhead and southern views of our house and what the panels would look like once installed. My biggest hesitation was that I wanted to see if there were any roof issues over the winter before I signed up to bolt these monstrous panels to my nice looking roof. Well, no leaks, I didn't really expect any based on the meticulous way our home was maintained by the previous owners.
