This week the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee approved (21-0),
S.2302, the America’s Transportation Infrastructure Act, a for competitive grants to support the development of fueling infrastructure for electric, natural gas and hydrogen-powered vehicles. The bill also directs federal agencies to transition their vehicle fleets to hybrid-electric, electric and alternative fuels within a year of enactment. Link to Article.

This legislation, when signed into law will make EV charging stations more available and will drive more public private collaboration when it comes to infrastructure improvements required. This bipartisan cooperation is not only important to the renewable energy community, but a great example of how our government should work.
