Hydrogen

Turning a New Page

Hydrogen is the first element listed on the Periodic Table and it’s the most abundant element in the universe.
Hydrogen can be produced in two ways, the traditional use of burning fossil fuels or via the process of electrolysis, splitting water with the use of electricity into hydrogen and oxygen.  Wind power has helped to drive the cost of electricity down to the point where it is cost effective to produce hydrogen this way.
Conversely, when carbon and hydrogen are combined, the result is water. Hydrogen can be used in many of the gas fired generators in use today to produce electricity.   The use of hydrogen reduces the need for natural gas reducing carbon levels.
